1.Who can register for the course?
Anyone who is interested in learning Samskrutam can register for the course.
2.I am more than 60 years old. Can I register?
Yes you can. Anyone above the age 10 can register and learn.
3.I studied Samskrutam in my school as second/third language. Will this course be useful to me?
Definitely. The course starts from the basics and covers almost all the topics that are taught in the schools at present. It follows a step-by-step approach in the understanding of the language. It makes the learner very strong in the basics which will help them in the long run.
4.What is the medium of instruction?
At present, the classes are being conducted in Tamil.
5. In what languages are the books available in?
At present, the books are available in Samskrutam with Tamil explanations.
6. What are the timings for the classes?
Classes are conducted twice/thrice in a week. Various time slots distributed throughout the week are available. A student can choose any time slot as per his/her convenience. Details regarding the timings are provided during enrolment and student can choose convenient timing before enrolling.
7. Do you have classes in the weekends?
Yes. Classes are conducted during the weekends also. Details regarding the timings are provided during enrolment and student can choose convenient timing during the enrolment process.
8. Will I find it difficult to learn/memorise as I am more than 60 years old?
Absolutely not. The course has been designed keeping all these factors in mind. The number of senior citizens who are currently enrolled stands testimony to this fact.
9. Is the course suitable for working people? Can I learn part-time?
Yes. The course is totally online. It just needs attending 2/3 classes per week. The evaluation at the end is also online, which makes it very convenient for those who are working, to pursue the course.
10. What is the minimum age requirement for registering in the course?
10 years.
11. Can I enrol in any level?
Aadya - 1 is the first level to enrol into for new Samskrutam learners. Those who have successfully completed Aadya 1 can register for Aadya 2. For a new learner Aadya 1 is the level to register for.
12. I just want to learn the language. I won’t be able to write the exams. Will I be allowed to continue?
Generally writing and clearing the exam is the criterion for admission into the next levels. However, for genuine cases, exceptions can be considered on a case on case basis. Please contact class teacher for more details.
13. I was not able to attend Aadya 2 exam but I attended all the classes. Can I register for Vibhava 1?
Students who attend and successfully clear the Aadya 2 exam are allowed to register for Vibhava 1.
14. How much should I pay towards the course?
Classes are conducted totally free of charge at VVM. There is no course fee for the classes. Altogether, for Vibhava 1, a sum of Rs. 700/- is to paid during registration which covers books(including delivery charges within India),assessments and certificate.
15. What will be the fee for end-of-the term examination?
There is no separate fee for the end-of-the term examination. The fee paid towards the beginning of the term towards books, covers the exam and certificate cost also.
16. Where can I get the books and other materials after registration.
The course fee includes the cost of book(s) and registering for the end-of-the-course-examination. Books will be sent to the address provided(within India) during registration.
17. Am facing problems during registration. What can I do?
